John A. Volpe, DPM, FACFAS
The founder of Rhode Island Foot and Ankle - Center for Heel Pain, Dr. Volpe has been providing foot and ankle care to thousands of adults and children throughout southern New England. Dr. Volpe is a native of Cranston, RI and he obtained his Bachelor's Degree from Providence College. He received his Podiatric Medicine Degree from the College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa. Dr. Volpe completed his surgical residency at Des Moines General Hospital in 1992.
He is board certified in foot surgery by the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Volpe is on the educational committee for the Roger Williams Medical Center Podiatric Residency Program where he serves as a surgical attending.
As a cancer survivor, Dr. Volpe is involved in the Oral Cancer Foundation.
He had the opportunity to carry the Olympic Torch for the 2002 Winter
Olympics. In his spare time, he enjoys cycling and kayaking.
Ethan Pais, DPM, AACFAS
Dr. Ethan Pais is a graduate of the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He then completed his residency training with the New York College of Podiatric Medicine/Metropolitan Hospital, serving as chief resident of academic affairs in his final year. Dr. Pais offers expertise in surgical and conservative management of foot deformities, trauma, sports medicine, arthritis, flatfeet, heel and joint pain, nail disorders, wound care and complications related to peripheral vascular disease and diabetes. Dr. Pais is an associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS) and is board qualified in both foot and reconstructive rearfoot/ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS).
As a Massachusetts native with strong Rhode Island ties, Dr. Pais is thrilled to be back in New England as part of the Rhode Island Foot and Ankle team. Outside of the office, Dr. Pais is an avid New England sports fan. He loves to spend time outdoors, either on the ski mountain or golf course.
Dr. Victoria Lellis, DPM, AACFAS
Dr. Victoria Lellis specializes in treating flatfoot deformities, foot and ankle fractures/sprains, athletic injuries, arthritis, bunions, and hammertoes. She believes in a personalized approach for each patient using a combination of conservative and surgical treatment modalities.
Dr. Lellis completed a three-year reconstructive foot and ankle surgical residency at Kent Hospital in Rhode Island, a Brown University affiliated program known for its surgical rigor. She received extensive training in complex reconstructions of the foot and ankle, lower extremity trauma, diabetic limb salvage, and biomechanics. She has advanced certifications in ankle arthroscopy and Treace Lapiplasty bunion correction. Dr. Lellis is in the process of becoming Board Certified in Forefoot and Rearfoot surgery.
Dr. Lellis is from Long Island, New York. She studied Organismic and Evolutionary Biology at Harvard University while competing as a coxswain for the Harvard-Radcliffe rowing team. She obtained her doctorate from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York City.
Dr. Lellis enjoys reading, watching the New England Patriots, and eating the local seafood.
