John A. Volpe, DPM
The founder of Rhode Island Foot and Ankle, Inc., Dr. Volpe has been providing foot and ankle care to thousands of adults and children throughout southern New England. Dr. Volpe is a native of Cranston, RI and he obtained his Bachelor's Degree from Providence College. He received his Podiatric Medicine Degree from the College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa. Dr. Volpe completed his surgical residency at Des Moines General Hospital in 1992.
He is board certified in foot surgery by the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Volpe is on the educational committee for the Roger Williams Medical Center Podiatric Residency Program where he serves as a surgical attending.
As a cancer survivor, Dr. Volpe is involved in the Oral Cancer Foundation. He had the opportunity to carry the Olympic Torch for the 2002 Winter Olympics. In his spare time he enjoys cycling and kayaking, along with spending time with his wife, Natalie, and their two children, Alexandra and Jonathan.

Sara Granoff-Schor, DPM
Dr. Sara Granoff-Schor joined Rhode Island Foot and Ankle, Inc. in 2012 after 20 years of private practice in Cranston, RI. She is originally from Rhode Island and received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Hartford in West Hartford, CT. She is a graduate of The William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, IL. Dr. Granoff-Schor did her post-graduate training at Midwest Regional Hospital, formerly American International Hospital in Zion, IL and did her fellowship training in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery also in Zion, IL which she completed in 1992.
Dr. Granoff-Schor is board certified in foot surgery by the College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. She is an active member of the Roger Williams Medical Center Podiatric Residency Program and part of the educational committee.
Dr. Granoff-Schor shares her home with her husband, Charlie and their daughter, Jenna.
Brad M. Ciano, DPM
Dr. Brad Ciano is the newest member of the Rhode Island Foot and Ankle family, joining in July of 2014. Dr. Ciano is a native Rhode Islander, growing up in North Providence. He attended Merrimack College, graduating in 2003, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Medicine with a focus in Athletic Training. He obtained his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree in 2011 from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Ciano completed his 3 year Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency at Roger Williams Medical Center, a program which emphasizes forefoot and rear foot reconstructive surgery, as well as diabetic wound care and limb salvage. There, he served as Chief Resident in his final year of training and completed over 1,500 surgical procedures.
Outside of the office, Dr. Ciano enjoys spending time with his family and continues to play soccer competitively throughout Rhode Island.
